PostHog AI Chat in the Client Portal
If your clients use PostHog, you can now enable an AI chat directly inside their SmartMetrics client portal. They type a question in plain English, and it pulls the answer from their actual data.
"Why did signups drop last week?" "Which traffic source converts best?" "What's our retention rate for users who complete onboarding?"
No dashboard navigation. No waiting for you to run a report. You turn it on from your agency dashboard in a few clicks. There are 2 things needed for this to work:
- Client's PostHog SDK key (you can copy it in the PostHog settings)
- Claude API key (Claude AI is used to communicate with PostHog MCP)

PostHog Insights Straight into Slack
Additionally, you can now push PostHog insights directly into client Slack channels. Clients can ask questions about their data right there, without switching tools or hunting for a link. It works the same way as the portal chat, just where your clients already spend their day.
Why This Matters
Client reporting is one of the biggest time sinks in agency work. You pull data, format it, explain it, answer follow-up questions, and do it all over again next month.
This cuts most of that out. Clients get instant answers to the easy stuff. You spend your time on the strategic work they actually need you for.
